In this talk, we’ll be sharing insights on how co-design can be an effective tool for designing around a sensitive topic like pornography, realities of co-designing and it can help create better health promotion resources.

In what we dubbed “The porn project” we were tasked

  • To build the sexual health literacy of vulnerable young people (16 years +), improve their sexual health literacy, attitudes and confidence to negotiate potential exposure to online pornography
  • To use co-design methods to ensure the resource meets young people’s needs, desires and would be an effective health promotion tool.
  • Design, develop and have evaluated a functional digital prototype of this resource

We’ll go through our approach, methodology and learnings.
